Azuroscape
I designed Azuroscape as a boutique hotel identity inspired by the cultural layers, coastal calm, and Portuguese heritage of Fort Kochi. The goal was to create a brand that feels premium and elegant while remaining warm, personal, and deeply rooted in its location. Instead of following typical luxury hospitality codes, I focused on balancing refined visual language with handcrafted details that feel human and authentic.
The identity grew from the idea of escape in azure, informed by research into Kochi’s colonial history and Portuguese azulejo tilework. I developed a custom script logo inspired by guestbook signatures, supported by a flexible “AZ” mark. The visual system is built around azulejo blue, soft whites, and warm red and gold accents, with patterns and illustrations drawn from tile geometry and local motifs. Through this approach, Azuroscape becomes a refined yet intimate coastal retreat where heritage and modern boutique hospitality coexist naturally.
